Defining our goals

The information provided herein is designed for you, the individual Eastern Shoreman, to learn, maintain, increase, or share with others the skills needed to survive a natural disaster, civil emergency or other catastrophic event.
This blog is open to all legal residents of the Eastern Shore who want to prepare themselves to survive and thrive in “worst case scenario” events.

Why not just leave all this "preparedness" stuff to “the authorities”?

Simply because history demonstrates that a well armed and regulated (trained) citizenry provides better "homeland security” than any paid “professional” ever could hope to do while safeguarding the freedom of all. Remember New Orleans? They were not prepared.

Examples abound of patriotic citizens deterring crime, thwarting invaders, rooting out and dealing with those who terrorize the innocent, as well as throwing off the yoke of tyranny (as in our own War for Independence from Great Britain). These feats all had a common thread: They required the average man or woman to arm, equip, and train themselves to repel the wolves that always seem to be ready to feast on the liberty of others. Be part of the solution!

Welcome here are those who share common traditional AMERICAN values and beliefs. Beliefs that do not fall under that category include but are not limited to those requiring or fomenting forced conversion or submission to ritual, statement, writing or practice; conversion by conquest, or any belief or social ethic that propagates harm toward the Constitution of these United States or any person, place or entity under her jurisdiction. Therefore, any group or individual seeking to contribute that, through their own writings, documents, or practices that demonstrate repugnance to the Constitution of these United States, or any person, place or entity under her jurisdictions will be denied permission to post hear. That means no racism. This is about preserving our constitution the way it was written by our Founding Fathers, not discriminating against a person because of their sex of the color of their skin.

If we can keep it civil here, we can maintain an open flow of information. We are not going to be some psycho militant group. We are just everyday, ordinary Americans trying to maintain a way of life our forefathers fought and died to preserve.
